A question that I am often asked is, “What should my child know when?” Well, that’s a really long answer, but we have a special gift here at Christ Church. The Learning Objectives and Goals document was put together by an awesome group of people, including clergy, education staff, and parents of kids of all ages. I take no credit–they wrote it before I got here, but that makes it easier for me to be so enthusiastic about it! I’m not tooting my own horn when I say that this document is seminal in our life together.
The four main goals are
- To know that God loves them unconditionally.
- To grow in their love and knowledge of the Bible.
- To understand who they are as faithful Christians and Episcopalians.
- To be generous, caring, loving servants of God.
